United States — December 2025 — According to data from Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables and the American Clean Power Association, U.S. energy storage installations in 2025 have already exceeded the total capacity deployed in full-year 2024, highlighting rapidly growing momentum in the battery storage sector.

In Q3 2025, the U.S. added more than 5.3 GW of storage, representing over 31 % year-on-year growth. 

At least 12.6 GW of storage capacity has now been deployed through the first three quarters — beating all of 2024’s installations. 

Growth is being driven by utility-scale BESS projects, distributed & residential storage, and continued integration with solar generation.
